The Good Ones

 

Why have all the Good Ones gone?
and to where did they all go?
Did they complete their mission?
Did they find something to show?

or is it that they still watch
from near or far away
observing without judgement
as those of us still play

at building little kingdoms
or being warriors of renoun
or even those with 'little' thoughts
not sure if fate is found.

Can they really see us,
as we stumble on our way,
in a light of spirit kindness
perhaps reaching out to say

"Worry not about your future
for those of you who care
for in The Universe so balanced
as Angels you shall fare.

For though your eyes are clouded
by the smallness of your tasks
seeds of greatness are within you,
you need to only ask."

I shed a tear of sorrow
or perhaps it is of shame
for though it seemed the Good Ones left
When I needed them, they came.
